This started as a Plated meal which was supposed to have red potatoes, but I switched it up a little and added in a crab cake! 



  • 2 steaks
  • 8 oz of haricots verts (aka skinnier green beans) 
  • 1 shallot
  • 1/2 a pint of cherry tomatoes 
  • 3 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp of sherry vinegar
  • Olive Oil
  • Kerrygold butter



Sherry Vinegar Tomatoes

  1. Heat skillet with olive oil over medium heat
  2. Mince shallot and place in oil when hot, cook for 1 minute
  3. Add whole Cherry tomatoes and cook down for 8-10 minutes. Break up tomatoes once soft (I used a potato masher like this)
  4. Take off heat, pour in sherry vinegar, salt and pepper, place in bowl and set aside

Seared Steak

  1. Pat steaks dry with paper towel, season all over with salt and pepper
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high
  3. Cook steaks 3-4 minutes per side, then set on plate to rest 
  4. After resting at least 5 minutes cut the steak against the grain

Parmesan Hericots Verts

  1. Cut ends off of beans and rinse
  2. Boil water, once boiling add salt and add beans
  3. Boil for 2 minutes or until beans are bright green
  4. Drain beans, return beans to hot pot, add butter / salt / pepper, and parmesan

Crab Cake

  1. This one is easiest of all! Go to Trader Joe's and buy their frozen Crab Cakes, bake at 425 per instructions on package:) 
  2. Add salt and pepper
