KETO RECIPE: Frosty Chocolate Milkshake
One treat I LOVED pre-keto, was a Frosty at Wendy’s. This copycat recipe gets really close to the real thing. I suggest chilling a metal mixing bowl and the hand-mixer beaters in the freezer while you prepare to make the recipe.
Frosty Chocolate Milkshake
Serves: 2
Prep time: 10 minutes, plus 1 hour to chill
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream (you could also use coconut cream here to make this fully dairy free)
4 oz coconut milk
1 tablespoon erythritol (I use Swerve)
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
DIRECTIONS
Pour the cream into a medium cold metal bowl, and with your hand mixer and cold beaters, beat the cream just until it forms peaks.
Slowly pour in the coconut milk, and gently stir it into the cream. Add the sweetener, vanilla, and cocoa powder. Beat until fully combined.
Pour into two tall glasses, and chill in the freezer for 1 hour before serving. I like to stir the shakes twice during the time they are in the freezer.
